WE HAVE COVID-19 POSITIVE PATIENTS CAN YOU TRANSPORT THEM?
Yes!! We never shied away from COVID-19 positive or under investigation patients. We were on the forefront of transporting these patients during the onset of this pandemic in Massachusetts. Epoch Health Care was there with PPE equipped vehicles and drivers from the very beginning. We made sure our affected neighbors made it to dialysis and various important Doctor visits. This service spread throughout the states quickly. We are currently operating in close to 10 facilities taking COVID-19 passengers to Doctor appointments and treatments daily
Epoch Health Care is actively responding to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. As always, our number one priority is protecting our clients, companions, and drivers, and our hearts are with those who are being affected by COVID-19. Following guidelines from federal and state regulators, Epoch Health Care is implementing a new sanitizing and cleaning policy for all non-emergency medical transportation and companion services. Exact plans will vary based on the unique needs.
Epoch Health Care’s Current Policies
Following guidance from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and Executive Office of Elder Affairs, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Epoch Health Care’s in-house infection control team.
Anyone requesting our services for non-emergency transportation and companionship, all elderly, disabled, and veterans including drivers, and companions will be asked about signs and symptoms of illness and physically screened for a fever.
Significant supports and services are available for all clients as we continue to reinforce the state’s message of cleanliness and caution same time delivering a better option for non-emergency medical transportation, in order to lessen the impact of social isolation to medical appointments while continuing to manage the risk of infection from the virus.
In addition to these actions, we’ve bolstered our already strict infection prevention and control protocols with increased cleaning of high-touch areas and changes to our services to promote physical distancing. All Vehicles are sanitized before and after all rides, all clients are given a free face mask if they do not have one, all riders and companions must wear a mask and a shield during service, wear gloves and keep the areas well ventilated. We have expanded, and other efforts to support the physical and emotional well-being of all we serve. Please call us with any questions you may have.
